School of Discipleship
What is the Discipleship Pathway?
The Cause Discipleship Pathway is a dynamic framework designed to help every believer grow deeper in their faith and live with intentional leadership. It’s a clear journey forward—whether you’re new to following Jesus, strengthening your walk, or preparing to lead others. The Pathway has two distinctly separate channels. The School of Discipleship is a sequential path to deepening your relationship with Jesus and, ultimately, helping you define your calling and purpose in life. Life Courses feature a broad series of subjects designed to enhance your life and grow in the ways of God. Classes include financial management and parenting skills - practical in nature but deep in the ways of God. In April, we offer the following classes.
SCHOOL OF DISCIPLESHIP
Phase I – Living the Transformed Life begins Thursday, April 23 at 7:00 PM. This phase is designed to awaken a deep, fulfilling relationship with Jesus through daily spiritual practices that help you hear God’s voice, encounter His presence, and walk in your God-given purpose. Cost is $30.00 - Sign up here!
Phase II – Growing in Godliness begins Sunday, April 26 at 2:00 PM. This phase is a six-week journey designed to deepen our walk with Jesus. We learn to lay down our lives in surrender to discover the fruit of sacrifice. The disciplines strengthen confidence and trust in Christ's faithfulness. Because Jesus paid the price, we are qualified to walk in righteousness and live fully in our inheritance. This class invites us to experience the goodness of God by yielding to Him. LIFE COURSES
Life with Jesus is a five week class (4/19-5/17) that an interactive class that will teach you how to read the Bible in ways you've never read it before. The Word of God will come alive as you open your life to the power of the Word. Learn what it means to have a vibrant prayer relationship with Jesus, making time for him and conversing naturally with him. You’ll be shocked when seeing your prayers answered. This is a great starting point to learn what it means to have life with Jesus. Sign up here!
Connect Groups
Join a Connect Group and receive access to Rebuilding the Walls: 52 Days to a Healthier Christian Life (RTW52) written by our Founding Pastors, Bob and Sherry Reeve. This 7-week discipleship journey is designed to help strengthen your faith and rebuild key areas of your spiritual life.
We’ll gather each week for live teaching, small group discussion, and prayer, and every participant will receive their own RTW52 workbook. Childcare is available with RSVP.
Wednesdays Starting April 22

This session will include seven teaching weeks on 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/20, 5/26, 6/3 and 6/10, starting at 7PM, with May 13th set aside for Pursuit Night with Heidi Wysman (a special night of praise and worship).
Connect Groups are designed to help you grow spiritually, build real relationships, and walk out your faith in community. Whether you’re new to groups or have been part of one for years, this is a perfect time to jump in.

Kid's Vacation Bible School
Hey families! In a world filled with worry and confusion, kids need to know there is a God who cares for them. At Emerald Crossing VBS, they’ll journey through Ireland’s lush landscapes, exploring the powerful words of Psalm 23.
They’ll discover the life of the shepherd-king David and will learn how to cross from worry to peace, from fear to faith, and from uncertainty to a firm foundation in God’s Word through a relationship with the Good Shepherd. It's going to be a fun week of worship, crafts, games, science experiments, snacks, new friendships, and learning more about the Lord!
The MOMCO
Welcome to The Mom Community - MomCo for short. We meet twice a month on 1st & 3rd Thursday’s from 9:30-11:30am.
We serve breakfast and coffee, provide childcare for your children, have fun engaging discussions about motherhood, build friendships with other moms and pray for one another.

Celebrate Recovery
Celebrate Recovery is a Christian Bible-based recovery program that helps individuals find freedom from hurt, pain or addiction of any kind. Only 1 in 3 attend Celebrate Recovery for substance abuse. Many are finding freedom from life's struggles such as anxiety, perfectionism, food issues, depression, pornography, betrayal trauma, child abuse, and addiction of any kind.
We meet every Friday night at 7PM at The Cause Church.

This Easter, let’s step into our community and invite our neighbors to experience the love and hope of Jesus Christ. The Cause Easter Outreach is all about reaching families in Brea and La Habra by going door to door to personally invite them to our Easter services. We’ll also offer to pray with those who would like prayer. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or new to outreach, don’t worry – our experienced team will be right there with you to guide and support you as you share the message of Easter.
It’s time to be the hands and feet of Jesus! Join us as we step into our local community, offering both an invitation to our Easter services and a chance to connect in prayer. We’ll kick off with snacks, coffee, and a quick info huddle (starting at 8:30am) before we head out to serve together.

CR Women's Step Study
CR Women’s Step Study is a powerful, in-depth journey through the 12 Christ-centered Steps and 8 Biblical Principles of Celebrate Recovery, designed to help you uncover the “why” behind habits, hurts, and hang-ups in a safe, supportive, women-only environment.
This gender-specific small group meets for 9–12 months and walks together through the four Participant Guides, creating space for healing, honesty, and real freedom. Step Studies typically open only once a year, and enrollment is limited to about a month after the start date, so this is a meaningful opportunity to step forward.

Bible Bowl
Bible Bowl at Cause Kids is a high-energy, fun-filled Bible trivia experience your kids are going to love! During Bible Bowl, our Cause Kids will race to answer Bible questions, work together as teams, and compete all the way to the final round where one team will be crowned the winner of the official Bible Bowl Trophy.
All kids Pre-K through 6th grade are invited to be part of the action. Kids are encouraged to wear their favorite sports jerseys along with comfortable shorts, pants, and shoes so they’re ready to move, play, and compete.
It’s going to be an exciting way for kids to learn God’s Word, build friendships, and have a blast. Don’t forget to invite a friend!
SHINE Galentine's Night
Join us on February 7, from 6-8pm for a gathering of women at The Cause to be found in community and come under the preaching of the Word. We’ll share a light meal and treats together, laugh and get to know one another, and grow in our relationships with the Lord. You have been planned for and prayed for! Our team is dreaming of the best, sweetest evening for you! When we say it won't be the same without you, we mean it. Community is richer when it is diverse, layered, and real!
Childcare is provided, but we encourage you to leave kids at home with Dad or a sitter so our childcare team isn’t overwhelmed.
