PERSONAL PRAYER FOCUS: Ask God to consecrate your heart and remove anything that dulls spiritual sensitivity.
OUTWARD PRAYER EXPRESSION: Pray for the unsaved in our city to experience conviction and awakening.

Teacher Or Father?
At what point do children stop listening to their parents? You know, that moment when mom and dad could not seem dumber, and nearly everybody else appears to have all the answers.
When does that happen? Does it happen in high school? College? I am not talking about academic knowledge but about common sense and “life” wisdom. So many people have allowed their lives to be destroyed because they rejected the foundations upon which they were raised, and they embraced the illusions and delusions of pseudointellectual professors, or the charms of silver-tongued devils. Spiritually, the same thing happens. Local pastors breathe life into a soul, and see a new birth in Christ take shape.
They nurture, look after, and care for a person with all the tenderness of a true parent, only to watch a spiritual son or daughter reject the foundations of truth, for the fantasies and stories of people with charisma but no roots. My friend, if your walk with Jesus has gotten shaky and unstable, it could be that you too are listening to “teachers” instead of your “father/mother." The most valuable truth I’ve ever learned was taught to me by my mother, not a professor, not a boss, not a speaker… my mom.
And it goes like this: Jesus loves me this I know For the Bible tells me so, Little ones to Him belong, They are weak but He is strong. Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes, Jesus loves me, The Bible tells me so. When all else fails, go home!
